Arm Pain
Pain in or down the arm can be the result of many problems. Obvious issues such as strained tendons or ligaments from overexertion, a sports injury, holding your arm in an awkward position, or sleeping improperly on the shoulder. This type of pain may vary from acute, sharp pain to a dull annoying ache. You may also experience swelling, numbness, tingling, fever, fatigue or insomnia along with the actual arm pain. The pain may also be radiating which means it is actually coming from another region of the body. This occurs with heart attack, from "trigger points" in the back, or from nerves associated with the spine.
Chiropractic care can also be very successful in dealing with what is called a frozen shoulder due to severe inflammation. An examine, oral history and possible diagnostic tests will help determine your treatment needs.
