Sports Injury
We all love to play a little too hard sometime and this can result in injury. Don't think that if you have "just pulled a muscle" that chiropractic care can't help you. Muscles work intimately with the bones, nerves and joints allowing us to move our bodies. Each muscle is connected to and/or crosses at least one joint and thus affects the function of that joint. So, the most effective treatment address both muscles and joints. This may involve stretching, massage, myofascial release, strengthening, physio-therapy along with spinal justment.
Failing to receive the appropriate treatment promptly and continuing to overuse the injured area may prolong the healing process and result in a chronic injury and the shortening of a promising sports career. Certain treatment are time sentive and common home remedies may be contraindicated for your situation.
Call Dr Hopson as soon as you can and she can discuss with you on the telephone whether an appointment is appropriate for the type of injury you have sustained.
